Document extraction

Also known as Intelligent document processing, IDP

Document extraction uses AI to read the unstructured documents a claim arrives as, such as FNOL forms, statements, estimates and photos, and turn them into structured data an adjuster or system can act on.

A claim shows up as a pile of PDFs, scans and images in different formats. Extraction pulls out the fields that matter, the parties, vehicles, circumstances and amounts, and puts them into one clean record.

Why it matters

Extraction is a baseline for automating claims, but it only structures the inputs. On its own it decides nothing. It sets up the decision that comes next.

In Mysa

Mysa reads the whole file and structures it into one clean case. The reading supports the decision, and the decision is the point.
